Brevard Public Schools School Choice Timelines Applying for the 2027-2028 School Year Educational Location Option (ELO) and Educational Program Opportunity (EPO). Choice Schools, Secondary Programs, Elementary Schools (Grades K-12). Choice Schools: Freedom 7, R.L. Stevenson, South Lake, and West Melbourne Elementary (K-6 Edgewood and West Shore Jr/Sr High (7-12). Secondary Programs: Cambridge/AICE, CTE, IB. See matrix. Grades 7-12. Elementary Schools: Grades K-6. November 2, 2026, Renewal Applications open for ALL K-12 School Choice. Nov 16-Jan 8 New Applications for K-12 School Choice. February 8 Lottery for School Choice. Feb 8-12 Notification of Seat Offering or Waitlist Status. February 26 Deadline for New Applicants to Accept or Decline Offered Seat. Week of March 29-April 2 Orientation Meetings for Choice Schools. April 26 Waitlist Applications Open.

Elementary and Secondary Choice Schools/Programs ELO and EPO Continual Waitlist. Applications to join the waitlist are on a first-come, first-served basis. These applications will automatically enter the waitlist in order of receipt and completion of all required steps. There is no guarantee that capacity will be available, or that seats will be offered from the waitlist. Students placed on the waitlist from the lottery will remain on the waitlist and will remain in order from the lottery. Tiered priority may at times cause your students’ location to move up or down on the waitlist. For more information about BPS and our School Choice plan, please visit our website. Continual Waitlist Windows (Grades K-12). First 9 Weeks. Sept 14 Capacity by School and Grade Level Posted to Website. Sept 21-Sept 25 Notification of Seat Offering. Oct 5-9 Deadline to Accept or Decline Offered Seat (removal from waitlist). Oct 15 Students must be in attendance at the new school or the seat will be revoked. Second 9 Weeks. Dec 7 Capacity by School and Grade Level Posted to Website. Dec 14-18 Notification of Seat Offering. January 4 Deadline to Accept or Decline Offered Seat (removal from waitlist). Jan 11 Students must be in attendance at the new school or the seat will be revoked. Third 9 Weeks. February 22 Capacity by School and Grade Level Posted to Website. March 1-5 Notification of Seat Offering. March 8-12 Deadline to Accept or Decline Offered Seat (removal from waitlist). Mach 17 Students must be in attendance at the new school or the seat will be revoked. No continual waitlist seats will be offered after the first day of the fourth 9 weeks (March 17, 2027). All students on the continual waitlist will have their seats expired.

Bayside High School 2024 - 2025 graduation rate rose 10% to a total grad rate of 90.5%.

BPS High School Students are invited to join the Content Creator Club. This is a CTE and District initiative, staff experts will organize and coordinate with a group of interested students to create school-themed social media content for the district pages.
