As we all enjoy Veteran's Day and begin preparing for the upcoming holidays, we ask that you take a moment and consider supporting our active-duty military members. SMMS has joined efforts with the Holidays for Heroes program to send care packages to our active-duty service members. Please see the attached flyer. Refer to Dr. Alexander with any questions. We are asking for all donations by 11/21 so that they may be shipped out to service members in time for Christmas. Thank you!

Keeping with the fast pace of accelerated learning and exploring concepts of Geologic History, Dr. Alexander's Accelerated Sciences were in the lab demonstrating radiometric dating. They simulated the process of radioactive isotopes breaking down. We compared and averaged data to complete lab reflections.

7th graders in Dr. Alexander's science class have begun to explore the conditions of plate tectonics and the occurrence of convection currents. Students conducted an exploratory observation of heat contributes to the movement of convection currents.
